Led by resident conductor Adrian Chiang and The Philharmonic Winds’ Music Director Dr. Leonard Tan as guest conductor, the young and vivacious ensemble brings you an evening of music and performances that promise to leave you spellbound. PhilYouth will be joined by dancers performing choreography by Peter Gn in a visual twist to Kenneth Hesketh's "Danceries. Experience motion through music as the ensemble will also premiere an original composition by our very own Darren Sng, which is a visual arts collaboration with Singaporean Sand Artist Lawrence Koh. Paying homage to Singapore’s multiculturalism, PhilYouth will then share the stage with Singapore Chinese Orchestra Principal Pipa player, Yu Jia in Ambush 十面埋伏, an iconic Pipa solo piece. Pay tribute to the late David Maslanka with the haunting chords of his famed Symphony No.4.
