Food is such a trademark of Singapore. We have food everywhere and a lot of our dishes are incredibly famous and beloved.
However, as times change, food also has evolved to continue to be relevant and exciting for the new generation.
This has sparked a challenge of sorts among cafes and restaurants to create some of the most beautiful and creative food to draw in the young crowd who are into social media and photogenic food.
So here are 10 awesome cafes with incredibly Instagrammable desserts for you to try out.

Fat Cat is hidden all the way in Bedok but it is definitely one to make a trip out for.
The cafe is famous for its very instagrammable and unique Charcoal Waffles with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce.
The crispy black waffle is topped with a scoop of ice cream and served with salted egg sauce which you can pour over the waffles. While it sounds like an odd combination, the sauce and ice cream really go well with the waffle and make for a great photo and a satisfying treat.
The cafe also serves up interesting (and totally Instagrammable) creations such as Mojito Cocktail Spheres and their Deconstructed Strawberry Cheesecake.

Lava cookies are one of the latest fads to hit Singapore and Creamery Boutique Ice Cream is one of the best places to get your gooey fix.

You can go for flavours such as the Monster Matcha, which has a matcha lava filling, the Red Devil, which is a red velvet cookie with a cream cheese filling, the Choc-A-Lot, which has a chocolate filling and more!

Boufé Cafe is another cafe that is fairly out of the way and hidden.
That said, if you do choose to explore, you’ll be rewarded with a gorgeous and cosy cafe that serves delicious and Instagram-worthy dishes.
One of the cafe’s most popular desserts is their Unicorn Cake which is made up of a coconut mousse with mango and a vanilla sponge cake. The dessert is shaped to look like a unicorn complete with edible ears, eyes and a horn.
If unicorns aren’t your thing, the cafe also serves up desserts with a mirror-like glaze spread over it.
The Milky Way or The Rock will give you absolute perfection and beauty on a plate.
The best part is that the cafe puts a little Instagram icon next to their most pretty dishes and drinks so that you know exactly what to order if you’re there just for the ‘gram.

If you’re on a diet or watching your calories but still enjoy a good photogenic dessert, Mission Juice is the place for you.
Mission Juice is mainly a juice bar but it also serves up pretty epic frozen yoghurt. Their yoghurt is extremely healthy and pretty so you don’t have to worry about the calories as you take that awesome photo.
credit: PS Cafe
PS Café deserves a feature in our dessert place for one reason-their sticky date pudding. In all honesty, their desserts deserve an article of their own, but let’s start off by talking about their homemade cakes! PS Café’s innovative dessert menu is worth every bite! The sticky date pudding is light and fluffy, but when topped with ice-cream and a sticky-toffee sauce, it combines to create a flavour like none other! Another lovely dessert is the flourless orange cake, which is topped with a delicious butterscotch sauce, that blends brilliantly with the citrus flavour of the cake. Not too overpowering and fulfils every sugar craving!
