This year on August 9th, Singapore AKA our lovely little red dot turns 54 years old! Aside from the long weekend, National Day marks yet another important milestone for Singapore and its residents! It's the day to acknowledge our accomplishments and celebrate what it means to be Singaporean, in true Singapore style!

Run Majulah!

Another great way to ring in Singapore’s 54th Birthday is to participate in the Majulah Walk & Run 2019. The aim of the Majulah Walk & Run 2019 is to bring Singaporeans, and might we say that it’s also a great way to shed off the extra weight before the National day binge! You don’t have to be an athlete in order to take part! You can choose to run 8 km or walk 3km. What a great way to celebrate the holiday than to engage with the community?

National Day SSO Concert

Founded in 1979, The Singapore Symphony Orchestra has been performing local tunes to celebrate the Singaporean spirit. And every year, they do a commendable job of celebrating National day in true Singaporean-style. Head down to the National Day SSO Concert to bask in local music performed by local Singaporean artists, and hum along to classic tunes like ‘Home’ to raise the patriotic fervor at the Esplanade.
